Hazel Cebrun is a medical doctor, with a longtime interest in preventative medicine and nutrition. She is committed to helping people realize the personal responsibility we all have in improving our own health. She founded Synthesis Health in the fall of 2006 to help her clients achieve these goals.
As a practicing, board certified emergency physician, it became apparent that there was a huge disconnect between the great strides that were being made in the areas of health and wellness and the actual translation of this information in the lives of everyday people. Synthesis Health is an effort to close that gap and make health and wellness information as practical and accessible to as many people as possible. She has a medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School and has studied at the University of Texas School of Public Health. Dr. Cebrun is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is currently a Fellow in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She believes that true health requires attention to body, mind, and spirit. She makes a point to maintain balance in her own life through a love of music and photography, teaching Pilates classes and traveling as much as possible. She also shares her thoughts and ideas online where she writes and contributes to other health and wellness blogs.
