Habit Changer and Lifestyle Coach are just two of the titles which suit Ms. Grant. Like many of her colleagues, Ms. Grant has made improving the health habits of her community her business for over 18 years. As the CEO of Fabulously Healthy You LLC, she works as a wellness consultant providing nutrition, fitness and lifestyle support to clients of Body Space Fitness in the NY Metro area.
Born and raised in Jamaica until she was 10 years old, Ms Grant has always been active, curious and empathetic to the needs of her peers. She maintains that the best thing her parents provided her was the encouragement to explore and play. She began dancing at the age of four, an activity which planted the seed of movement and self expression deep within her. Dance was something she carried with her upon emigrating to the US as were the healthy eating habits of growing up in the Jamaican country side. After a brief dalliance with the American diet she noticed that not only did she gain unwanted weight but she was also depressed and moody. This epiphany at age 13 opened her eyes to the connection between food and mood. Luckily she had an older brother who was a fitness fanatic and so under his guidance, her passion was born. Fast forward to years later when she became the unofficial coach on all things health and fitness related to all of her sorority sisters and family. Throughout those years and until now, Ms Grant has known it was her calling to share what she knew to be true of the impact of diet, activity and habit on the quality and length of life. She has shared that information as health writer, group exercise instructor, celebrity personal trainer and nutritionist to exclusive clients and to people in regular walks of life. She now looks forward to working with Black Health TV as a community advocate and expert on making healthy living accessible in the day to day and on a budget. It is her goal to help all feel better, live better and look better through healthy habits.
