Dispelling Myths of Intro to Holistic Medicine
Intro to holistic medicine is already underway, but we may need to dispel some myths about holistic medicine.
Think holistic medicine is anti-science? Think again.
Studies show lifestyle medicine can reverse 80% of chronic conditions—but doctors get less than 20 hours of nutrition training.
Myth 1: Holistic is woo-woo. (when actually it is in alignment with pre-colonization practices)
Myth 2: It’s too expensive. (holistic medicine is a lifestyle that connects you with nature, cosing you less in the long term)
Myth 3: You have to choose between natural and conventional. (we use holistic medicine as a lifestyle practice, while we reach for conventional medicine for acute care techniques or disease management.)
You don’t need to choose. Instead you need a framework. That’s what I teach in Intro to Holistic Medicine.
