First Layer Magic: Subtractive Underpainting in Oils

In this phase, I use brushes, q-tips, cotton balls, and subtractive tools to lift paint from the canvas, slowly revealing form through light and shadow. It’s like sculpting with paint — such a meditative part of the journey. 🤍
