Dairy is Addictive (Literally!) with Sunny Satva | Dump Dairy Workshop Series 2025

Hi, I’m Sunny, and I’ve been vegan for 9 years, and dairy was by far the hardest thing for me to let go of. In this video, I talk about my real, messy, emotional breakup with dairy: why it took me so long, what made it so addictive, and how I finally made the shift for good. I break down the science of dairy addiction, the cultural comfort it provided growing up, and the physical issues it caused me — from gut problems to acne and low energy. I also open up about how painful it was to learn what really happens to cows in the dairy industry, and how that knowledge shifted everything. This isn’t a lecture — it’s my personal story. I talk about food, grief, culture, and healing. And if you’re in the process of ditching dairy, just know: you’re not alone. It’s hard — and it’s also so, so worth it.
