How to make the BEST Jamaican Veggie Patties | beginner friendly vegan recipes

Today we’re making VEGAN Jamaican Veggie Patties.

Growing up we always had beef patties on deck for a snack and it’s been a while since I’ve had a vegan one. This right here tasted like my childhood and you’ll love it! 🌱

This recipe is absolutely delicious and one of my favorite things to make. This recipe made about 10 servings. These patties can be frozen up to one month. Reheat using the microwave, air fryer, or oven.

Dough ingredients:
– 2 cups flour
– 1 tbsp curry powder
– 1 tbsp turmeric
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp sugar
– Heavy pinch of salt
– 1 cup ICE COLD water
– 1 tsp vinegar
– 1/2 cup VERY cold vegan butter (1 stick)

Chickpea Curry Ingredients:
– 1 can chickpeas
– Salt
– Garlic powder
– Pepper
– Allspice
– Ground ginger
– All purpose seasoning or Jamaican seasoning
– Bread crumbs (if you don’t have bread crumbs take some bread and water and blend it until you get a thick paste and fed that. Only about 1/4 cup)
– Water or Vegan beef stock or veggie stock (a little bit)
– Coconut milk
– Minced garlic
– Carrots, diced
– Red onion, diced
– Spring onion
– Scotch bonnet or Habanero
– Thyme
