Social Work Careers: Do You Need A Master’s Degree?

Do you really need a master’s to be a social worker? 🤔 Let’s break it down…
Some roles — like school-based positions — might not require a master’s, especially if they’re more about support than clinical work. But for medical social work? It depends.
⚕️ If you’re doing quick intakes in the ER, a bachelor’s might be enough.
🧠 But if you’re doing psych assessments or working on a psychiatric unit, a master’s is usually required.
So the answer is: it depends on what kind of social work you want to do.
The key is understanding what’s required for the role you want — not just what everyone says you “should” get. #SocialWork #careersinsocialwork #MastersDegree #CareerAdvice #NonprofitJobs #socialworkcareers #SocialJustice #Counseling #MentalHealth #CommunityOutreach
