What’s scares you gives you courage to face the fear?
What scares you? As a child, I was terrified of spiders, thanks to the movie Arachnophobia! Yet, as an adult, my biggest fear now is writing health content that lacks an inclusive perspective.
If that’s your fear, too, there are ways you can combat it:
✔️ Focus on sharing recipes that incorporate nutrient-rich ingredients from diverse cultural cuisines in my nutrition classes.
✔️ Collaborate with personal trainers to provide accessible home workouts.
✔️ Practice active listening to understand the barriers faced by your patients and clients.
I may still feel the fear of saying the wrong thing, but being intentional with the information I share helps ease that anxiety.
